Course Objectives

In this module, Dr. Aaron Drucker will teach you an overview of the very common symptom of itch. He will teach you a diagnostic approach to itch by first determining if it is an itch without a rash or an itch with a rash. You will also learn what questions to ask during your examination, including previous known skin conditions, past medical history, symptomatic close contacts, or constitutional symptoms. You will learn what to look for in your physical exam, including primary lesions, burrows, lichenification, prurigo nodules, and linear erosions. Similarly, which investigations to perform and when, these may include chest x-ray, LDH, LFT, creatinine, and TSH. Lastly, you will learn through detailed cases the management and treatment plan for a variety of conditions causing itch.
