Course Objectives

In this module, we will discuss symptom management, its causes and treatment, including psychological distress, pain, nausea, vomiting, dyspnea, anorexia, constipation, and delirium as well as others. You will learn about the OPQRST tool, the palliative performance scale, and the concept of total pain. Additionally, you will learn how to treat the patient and their family as a whole; this includes what to do when the end-of-life approaches and after a patient has died.
