Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to classify movement disorders as either hyperkinetic disorders or bradykinetic disorders. The learner will be able to recognize the clinical presentation associated with each movement disorders. The learner will also be able to carry out an appropriate history and neurological examination for the patient presenting with a movement disorder. Participants will be able to order and interpret relevant investigations including blood tests. Finally, participants will be able to recognize appropriate management strategies in regards to each movement disorder.
