Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to carry out a systematic approach in assessing a couple with infertility. The learner will be able to take a focused history, with an emphasis on the sexual history, fertility history, history of childhood diseases, and exposure to gonadotoxins. In addition, the learner will be able to perform a physical examination, focusing on general appearance, an examination of the genitalia, and a rectal examination, and recognize signs suggestive of specific causes of infertility. Participants will be able to list relevant investigations to perform, including blood tests, semen analysis, genetic testing, and imaging. Finally, participants will acquire knowledge in the management of various causes of infertility, both medical and surgical.
