In this module, we will provide a comprehensive approach to dysphagia. You will learn about critical questions to ask in history to determine the anatomical location of the pathology. Additionally, you will learn to distinguish between esophageal, oropharyngeal, neurological, neuromuscular, and structural causes of dysphagia, which will allow you to narrow down your differential diagnosis and to order the appropriate investigations. Lastly, you will learn the management plan of a variety of causes of dysphagia including malignancy, diffuse esophageal spasm, and achalasia, among others.
