Course Objectives

In this lecture, we will discuss the clinical approach to drowning. Drowning can be classified as both fatal and non-fatal. You will learn that treatment of the victim begins while still in the water and is ongoing throughout the transport to hospital. You will learn how to assess the patient and how to monitor, test, and treat for complications that may arise.
