Course Objectives

In this module, we will provide a comprehensive approach to a patient with anaphylaxis. Critical tasks to carry out on initial evaluation, such as airway assessment and patient stabilization, will be reviewed. Key points to keep in mind while assessing a patient, including completing a thorough multi-system evaluation, will be discussed. Lastly, you will gain an understanding of the management strategies employed in patients with anaphylaxis and factors to consider in disposition planning following adequate response to treatment.
